Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came to the village Ikolaha while travelling to Saunti from Dhamot. Guru Sahib stayed here for a night and then continued his journey the next day.

The Gurdwara was first established in 1964-65 as a commemoration to Guru Hargobind's visit to the village by Bhai Rallah Singh, who had migrated to Africa, Mai Mehtab Kaur and other villagers. At first, there was a single room for Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Through the kindness of the Sangat, the Gurdwara owns 50 bigas of land. 20th Vaisak (the date that Guru Hargobind visited) is celebrated each year with a big fair.
