I am shown my affidavit filed before this Commission. I say that the contents thereof are true. In addition to what I have stated in my affidavit, I further say that the person who was leading the mob was Lalit Makan. Iwas told about his identity by my neighbours. I had then also came to know that he was a Member of Parliament from South Delhi. I was told by my father that even while he was in jail he was ill - treated

Even though it was the month of November and I had given the money to the Police to give a blanket to my father, even that was not done by the police.

I know that curfew was imposed by the authorities on 3rd November, 1984 in our area. Inspite of that people were moving on the streets. It is true that my father was arrested on 3rd November, 1984 in case FIR No.444 of 1984 of Tilak Nagar Police Station, New Delhi. But I say that it was a false case.

It is also true that my father was produced before the Magistrate on 4th November, 1984 and thereafter he was sent to Tihar Jail. It is also true that my father was charge sheeted. It was not tried by the court as trial had abated because of the death of my father on 13th June, 1985. I do not know if my father was medically examined before he was admitted in Tihar Jail.

I had personally gone to Tihar Jail and had given money to the person who was near the gate. I had not made any complaint in this behalf because during those days nobody was listening to the grievances of Sikhs and that was my feeling also. I had not filed any affidavit before any commission or any other authority, prior to this.
