1984 Delhi Sikh Genocide - Police Records

This Police Station covers Lodhi Colony, Jor Bagh, Safdarjung Airport, Gurdwara Aliganj, Khan Market, Sewa Nagar Flyover etc.

Events

Incidents of rioting started in this area on 31st October, 1984 near Safdarjung Airport when a number of three wheelers and taxis were burnt near Aurobindo Marg pump and on Lodhi Road. On 1st November, 1984 Gurdwara Aliganj was attacked and burnt and on 2nd November there was arson and looting in Khan Market.

Tension was also reported from B.K.Dutt Colony, Mehar Chand Market etc. However, the number of deaths appear to be less and only one casualty has been identified.
