2. That on 1-11-84, there was lot of tension in the area. Large violent mob were roaming freely in the Colony looting the house of Sikhs and setting houses of Sikhs on fire and chasing and killing Sikhs. We were highly scared and secured ourselves in our house by bolting the door from inside. At about 11 am the mob which was armed with lathis, iron rods etc. and shouting anti Sikh slogans surrounded our house and started pelting stones and bricks. Out of fear we did not open the doors.

The violent mob broke open the door and forcibly entered the house. We ran outside for safety. The mob pelted stones, bricks etc. on us. Some bricks hit my husband but we escaped and ran and took shelter in the nearby Gurdwara but when the mob set fire to the Gurdwara also I along with my children took shelter in the adjoining houses of Muslims. They helped us and gave us shelter. My husband ran away to save himself.

3. That the mob looted our belongings in the house after breaking it open forcibly and after looting, set the house on fire. I suffered a loss of Rs.1 lakh on account of damage in the house and looting of my household goods / belongings.

4. That on 3-11-84, I along with my children managed to reach the Police Station Nangloi where I lodged a report to the Police on 14-11-84, copy of which is enclosed. My husband also somehow reached there. He was badly injured. On the same day we managed to reach Subhash Nagar Gurdwara and later on we went to Bhatta Sahib Gurdwara at Tilak Nagar.

5. That though I suffered a loss of Rs.1,00,000/- as stated above but I did not get any compensation from the Govt.
