1984 Delhi Sikh Genocide - Affidavits

Affidavit submitted before the Nanavati Commission

I, Jasbir Kaur, W/o Late S. Charan Singh, age about 45 yrs., R/o Village Rama, Post Office Khas, Tehsil Nihal Singh Wala, Distt. Moga, Punjab, do hereby solemnly declare as under:-

1. That my late husband S. Charan Singh was working as truck driver with some private company at Dehradun.

2. That on 1st November, '84, when my husband Late S. Charan Singh the truck of the company at old G.T. Karnal Road coming under Police Station, Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. The violent mob attacked on the said truck of my husband which was being driven by him, he was dragged out of the truck and killed him by the said violent mob. (A copy of FIR is enclosed there with)

3. That neither I nor any of my family member have / had received any type of compensation from the Govt. about the death of my husband S. Charan Singh.

4. That I humbly prayed that an amount of compensation to the tune of Rs.3.5 lakhs may be given to me as the same has been paid to the widows of November, 1984, killings in Delhi. The order may be passed in my case.
