Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji both visited the village of Cheeka seperately.

Guru Hargobind came here while travelling to Nanakmatta, in the State of Uttrakhand.

Baba Gurditta's Sikh, Baba Almast, prayed to Guru Hargobind to help him as the place where Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji visited (in Nanakmatta) had been overrun.

Some hindu yogi's had captured Gurdwara Sri Nanak Matta Sahib and renamed it as Gorakh Matta. As Guru Hargobind travelled towards Nanakmatta, Guru Hargobind stopped to rest here. Guru Hargobind held diwans for the local sangat then proceeded via Kurukshetra.

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji came here while he was travelling to Delhi. When the Kashmiri Pandits asked Guru Tegh Bahadur (in Anandpur Sahib) to save them from emperor Aurangzeb's terrorism. Guru Tegh Bahadur accepted the request knowing it would cost his life.

Guru Tegh Bahadur came here met the masand Bhai Galora. Bhai Galora was Jathedar of area from Hansi to Hisar. The Sikhs with Guru Tegh Bahadur wanted to continue travelling with Guru Ji to Delhi but Guru Tegh Bahadur asked them to go back to Anandpur.

The Sikhs asked how they would be able to live without Guru Ji. Guru Tegh Bahadur told them that by visiting this place it would give them the result of having the darshan of Guru Ji.
